Monthly Updates

BHS teachers will provide monthly updates to students and parents. These updates will be shared using email, printed documents, and links to documents using social media. These updates will include the monthly calendar, and important information needed such as validation, registration nights, veterinary visits, and ffa activities.

Remind 101

All species advisors currently use Remind 101 to send information and updates to their exhibitors. Updates are sent as needed.

Classrooms

All BHS classrooms currently have white boards that are used to post FFA information and activities. Posters are also posted each month detailing our chapter meeting for the month.

Information Boards at the Farm

Each major species at the ag barn has their own white board. These boards are used to post cleaning schedules, jackpots and stockshows, information about feeding, and information about vet visits.

Semester schedules

At the start of each semester, teachers will share the FFA calendar with students and parents. This information will be provided in paper form, and sent home with students. While we understand that this information is subject to change, any changes will be communicated using our social media, and classroom whiteboards.

Barn Contracts/FFA Membership Information

At the beginning of each school year, students are given packets of information regarding joining our local FFA chapter, and packets of information regarding exhibiting, and housing, animals. These packets of information include rules, schedules, teacher work days, and what stock shows teachers will be attending that school year.

Barn Days: Teachers will be out at the barn after school on their scheduled days to work with students on animal projects and check on things at the barn. If a teacher is unable to attend on their day they will reschedule/switch with another. Students will be made aware of each of these days and any changes as necessary.
